FIRST LOOK: WONDER WOMAN AT SDCC 2014 [x]
Superman: Birthright #4
It’s scenes like this that remind me just what it is that makes Lois a strong female character. She has integrity as a reporter whether Superman is there or not. She is out there doing whatever it takes to get a story because she is dedicated to telling the truth as closely as she can get to it. And she will NOT let you shit on people trying to do their jobs regardless what they do because she realizes they’re working just as hard as she is, and they deserve respect for putting up with the absolute crap that people will put them through.
She doesn’t take to Clark immediately because even though he tries to be a good person, he seems meek about it, thinking he’d rather run away than fight. What draws her to Superman and later Clark when she discovers his identity isn’t the powers or the looks, it’s because as Superman, Clark represents the sort of values that Lois and every honest working person hold dear in a body as indestructible as the abstract concepts he personifies.
